| Opis rewersu | Central guilloche vignette in purple and teal contains a large numeral '5' underprint over which the facsimile signature of the Minister of Finance is printed, accompanied by the English legend 'ISSUED UNDER LAW No. 50/1940' above and 'MINISTER OF FINANCE' below. The Arabic inscription for the Arab Republic of Egypt appears at the top of the central cartouche, with 'THE ARAB REPUBLIC OF EGYPT CURRENCY NOTE' in English along the lower arc. An elaborately engraved rosette medallion at left carries the denomination '5 PIASTRES'; corner numerals '5' appear at all four angles within the guilloche border. |
