Popis líce	At right, a classical female bust in profile facing left, rendered in intaglio, wearing a laurelled helmet and draped garments in a neo-classical style. The centre carries the bold denomination legend CINQ PIASTRES with the numeral 5 within a guilloche medallion below, flanked by an oval watermark window at left set within elaborate foliate and floral underprint vignettes. Two-line signature panel reads Un Administrateur and Le Directeur, with the engraver and designer credits CL. SERVEAU FEC. and E. DELOCHE SC. at the lower corners.

Popis rubu	The left half carries an elaborate vignette of a peacock in full plumage standing amid flowering branches, with butterflies scattered throughout the composition, all engraved in fine intaglio line work framed by a Chinese-style border. To the right, large Chinese characters give the denomination, flanked by the Vietnamese legend NAM BAC and Khmer numerals, with a circular guilloche motif and a legal warning text panel in French at lower right. The engraver credits ROQUE FEC. and RITA SC. appear at the lower margins.
