| Obverse description | Outer pearl border following the octagonal flan, enclosing a circular inner pearl ring within which the numeral '5' is prominently centered in the field. The circular legend 'G.H. NUSTER' arcs across the upper portion and 'OSCHATZ I.SA.' across the lower portion of the inner pearl ring, identifying the issuing merchant and locality. Two small stars or rosettes serve as punctuation marks separating the legend elements. The design is plain and utilitarian, consistent with German Notgeld emergency coinage of the World War I era. |
