| Reverse description | Within a beaded border, a large stylised monogram 'T' dominates the central field, rendered in an ornate architectural manner with doubled vertical strokes and arched crossbar, representing the Tietz company trademark. The letters 'WERT-MARKE' (meaning 'token' or 'value token') are inscribed in a semicircular arrangement across the lower portion of the field, radiating outward from the base of the monogram. The overall design is bold and graphic, characteristic of German commercial Notgeld tokens of the early 1920s. |
