| Obverse description | Octagonal zinc notgeld token with a beaded border running along all eight edges. The large numeral '5' occupies the central field in bold relief. Surrounding the numeral, a circular legend reads 'AUG. HOFFMANN GEMISCHTES WARENGESCHÄFT' along the upper arc and 'HILPOLTSTEIN' along the lower arc, separated by a small floral ornament.
