Obverse description Centrally placed municipal coat of arms of Volkach, depicting a quartered shield surmounted by a mural crown with three towers; the shield is flanked on either side by decorative scrollwork volutes. The city name legend STADT VOLKACH arcs along the lower portion of the field, with the inscription reading from left to right around the base of the arms. The entire design is enclosed within a continuous pearl border running along the coin's rim.
