| Beschrijving keerzijde | The central field features the large numeral '5' set within a twisted rope circle, mirroring the obverse layout. The legend 'KLEINGELDERSATZMARKE' (small change substitute token) runs along the upper arc between the rope border and the outer pearl rim. Three five-pointed stars are evenly spaced along the lower arc of the legend band. The reverse design emphasizes the token's function as a small-change substitute during the wartime coin shortage. |

Straßebersbach issued this zinc notgeld piece in 1917, when the Imperial German war economy had stripped copper and nickel from municipal circulation entirely. Small-denomination emergency coinage proliferated at the village level that year — the central government's inability to supply adequate small change pushed even minor rural municipalities to produce their own issues. Straßebersbach was among the smallest communities to do so.
