正面描述 Vertically oriented Notgeld note with a dark central vignette enclosed in a circular band inscribed 'SPARKASSE DER STADT DANNENBERG', containing the municipal coat of arms — a fir tree flanked by two rampant lions on a ground line. The upper portion bears the bold legend 'GUTSCHEIN' above the text 'DER STADT', with the vertical inscriptions 'SPARKASSE' and 'DANNENBERG' flanking the central roundel; four ornamental rosettes occupy the corners. The year '19 — 19' straddles the lower half, above a semicircular panel with the denomination '05' in red numerals, the word 'PFENNIG' in a cartouche below, and the validity notice 'Gültig bis 1. Jan. 1923' at the foot.

备注

Dannenberg is a small town in Lower Saxony, and like hundreds of similarly sized municipalities, it issued its own emergency paper money — Notgeld — during the acute coin shortage that followed the First World War. The Sparkasse, functioning here as the issuing authority rather than a central or state bank, produced notes of this denomination to cover everyday transactions that metal coinage could no longer support. At 60 × 40 mm, this is among the smaller pieces in the 1919 Notgeld wave.

Collector demand for Dannenberg Sparkasse issues has always been modest, keeping prices honest.
