| Reverse description | The central field features a large bold numeral '5' denoting the denomination, enclosed within an inner beaded circle. The circular legend KRIEGSERSATZGELD arcs around the upper portion of the inner circle, identifying this piece as wartime substitute money. Three six-pointed stars are evenly spaced along the lower arc of the legend outside the inner beaded border. A continuous outer beaded border frames the entire design, and a small central hole is present near the top of the flan consistent with the obverse. The design is plain and functional, characteristic of emergency coinage of the World War I era. |
