| 备注 |
Saccharin-Fabrik AG was one of the industrial giants of Wilhelmine Germany — the Magdeburg-Südost plant had been churning out artificial sweetener since Fahlberg's original patents in the 1880s, and by the Notgeld period it was large enough to issue its own emergency scrip to pay workers when small-change coin had effectively vanished from circulation. This is private industrial Notgeld, not municipal, which makes it a narrower issue: it circulated within a specific factory payroll ecosystem rather than across a town's retail economy.
The extreme dimensions — nearly three times as long as wide — are unusual even within the eccentrically varied Notgeld format world, and almost certainly served as a deliberate anti-counterfeiting measure on a low-denomination note where engraving costs would have been minimal.
