| 背面描述 | The large numeral '5' occupies the center of an otherwise plain field, rendered in a bold, utilitarian style typical of German cooperative notgeld coinage. A beaded border encircles the entire design, providing the sole decorative element on this otherwise unadorned face. The surface shows the characteristic dull grey appearance of struck zinc. |

Reichmannsdorf, a small glassworking village in Thuringia, saw its company store — the Consumverein, a cooperative purchasing society — issue zinc tokens like this one to manage credit and purchases among workers. Such Werksgeld or notgeld-adjacent tokens kept wages circulating within company-controlled commerce, a practice widespread in isolated industrial communities before the Weimar-era monetary reforms pushed many out of use. Zinc was the obvious choice: cheap, available, and easy to stamp in small lots.
