正面描述	A raised pearl border frames the entire octagonal flan, following its eight-sided contour. A circular pearl ring in the centre of the field encloses the municipal coat of arms of Neustadt an der Haardt, depicting a crowned rampant lion. The city name and date of issue are arranged as a circumferential legend in the field between the pearl border and the central pearl ring, flanked by five-pointed star ornaments.

附加信息	Neustadt an der Haardt issued this zinc notgeld piece in 1917, when the German war economy had stripped copper and nickel from civilian coinage entirely. The city — a wine-trading center in the Palatinate — was one of hundreds of municipalities forced to produce emergency small change as the Reichsbank failed to keep fractional currency in circulation. Zinc was the compromise material: cheap, available, and deeply unpopular with the public, who found it corroded quickly in pocket wear. Most survivors show exactly that.
