| Obverse description | A plain outer rim frames a fine pearl border encircling the entire design. Within the pearl border, the circular legend STADT ★ HELDRUNGEN ★ runs around the periphery in raised Latin capitals, interrupted by two five-pointed stars at the lateral positions. At the centre, the municipal coat of arms of Heldrungen is displayed on a plain field, depicting a crowned shield charged with a lion passant over a diagonally hatched background, rendered in a bold, utilitarian style characteristic of German notgeld coinage. |
