正面描述 Central field features a spread-winged Prussian eagle displayed, facing dexter, rendered in low relief on the plain zinc field. The eagle's talons are extended downward, its plumage indicated by incuse feather lines. A circular Latin legend surrounds the design reading 'MAGISTRAT DER STADT DRIESEN', terminating with a six-pointed star stop, conforming to the octagonal flan.

附加信息

Driesen — today the Polish town of Drezdenko — issued this notgeld piece in 1918 as the German war economy collapsed inward on itself. Municipal zinc coinage of this kind filled the vacuum left by hoarded copper and nickel, which had been requisitioned for munitions production years earlier. The Magistrate had little legal authority to strike currency but did so anyway, as did hundreds of small German towns that year.

The Funck reference places this among the better-documented Brandenburg municipal issues. Zinc notgeld from 1918 is frequently found with corrosion pitting — the alloy was never intended for long circulation, and it shows.
