| 背面描述 | The reverse displays the municipal coat of arms of Burgau in the center field, depicting a crenellated tower flanked by two coniferous trees on a shield. The shield is supported by ornate scrollwork cartouche supports on each side. Above the shield sits a mural crown, symbolizing the town's civic status. The entire heraldic composition is centrally placed within a plain field, itself enclosed by a beaded border matching that of the obverse. No inscriptions or legends appear on this face. |

Burgau, a small Swabian town, issued this zinc notgeld piece in 1917 as wartime metal requisitions stripped municipal circulation of copper and nickel coinage. Germany's Reichsbank had effectively commandeered base metals for the war effort, leaving hundreds of small municipalities to solve their own small-change crises independently. Burgau was among the earlier towns to respond, issuing zinc pieces before the postwar notgeld flood made such local emergency coinage almost routine.
