| Obverse description | A spread-winged German Imperial Eagle displayed in the central field, enclosed within an inner pearl circle. The circular legend STADT ARNSTADT runs between the inner pearl border and an outer pearl rim, the lettering distributed evenly around the circumference. The eagle is rendered in low relief with fine feather detail on the wings and body, facing to the viewer's right with head turned. The overall design is typical of German municipal notgeld issues of the early Weimar period. |
