| Obverse description | Central field features the municipal coat of arms of Apolda, depicting a heraldic shield with detailed civic imagery, pierced at center by a small circular hole approximately 2 mm in diameter. The legend STADT APOLDA arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin characters. The rim is bordered by a continuous beaded or dotted circle. The overall design is rendered in a plain, utilitarian style consistent with wartime Notgeld coinage. |
