Obverse description Within a continuous pearl border, the large numeral '5' is prominently displayed in the upper field, serving as the denomination indicator. Directly below, the word 'DISTRIKT' is inscribed horizontally across the centre of the field, with 'AIBLING' rendered in a curved legend along the lower portion, following the arc of the pearl rim. The design is utilitarian in character, typical of World War I-era German notgeld, with no additional decorative elements beyond the beaded border.

Reverse description The central field displays the heraldic coat of arms of Aibling, depicting a crowned lion rampant on a shield, surmounted by a decorative crown. A circlet of small five-pointed stars flanks the shield on either side. The circumferential legend, reading 'GÜLTIG BIS 6 MONATE NACH FRIEDENSSCHLUSS', runs around the periphery within a plain border, with a single five-pointed star positioned at the base of the design serving as a stop mark. No pearl border is present on the reverse.
