| Obverse description | Pink-tinted notgeld voucher with a central red guilloche vignette of elaborate foliate and scroll ornament, over which the denomination 'Fünf Pfennig' is printed in large Gothic script. The issuing authority 'der Stadt Schleusingen' and the authorizing body 'Der Magistrat' appear above and below the central vignette respectively, with a manuscript-style signature line ('Litte') and the legend 'Ausgegeben im Kriegsjahr 1917' in italic script along the lower margin. A serial number is printed in the upper right, flanked by a small asterisk, and a circular embossed municipal stamp appears at lower left; the numeral '5' in red is enclosed within a rosette at lower right. |
