Reverse description The reverse displays a boldly rendered turbot (flatfish) swimming to the left, depicted in a stylised yet naturalistic manner with detailed fin and scale texturing rendered through stippling and fine engraved lines. The fish occupies the upper and central field, with stylised wave motifs in low relief arranged in two horizontal groups beneath it, suggesting the Baltic Sea waters. The four-digit date '1932' is incused in the lower exergual area in upright numerals, completing the composition. The overall design reflects the maritime character of the Free City of Danzig and the engraver Erich Volmar's clean, modernist aesthetic.
