| Obverse description | Black letterpress Notgeld on white paper, with the central vignette comprising a large ornate numeral '5' set within an octagonal frame bordered by a circular legend, flanked on either side by decorative rosette guilloche scrollwork. The issuing authority 'DER MAGISTRAT' with two facsimile signatures is contained in a dotted ornamental cartouche at lower left, balanced by a redemption notice in a matching cartouche at lower right.
