Within this border a large oval vignette presents a detailed line-engraved townscape of Finsterwalde, showing a bridge crossing a canal or river in the foreground with multi-storey buildings and trees beyond. |

| 备注 |
Finsterwalde's 1919 Kleingeldscheine belong to the enormous wave of municipal emergency money that flooded Germany when the postwar coin shortage made small change almost impossible to find. The imperial coinage system had collapsed, the new Weimar government hadn't yet stabilized a replacement, and towns across Brandenburg were left to print their own. Finsterwalde was one of hundreds that contracted with Berlin printers to fill the gap.
Selmar Bayer handled a substantial volume of this municipal work. Nothing particularly distinguishes this commission from the firm's broader output.
