| Obverse description | Green-tinted notgeld on paper with an ornate border of interlocking foliate scrollwork. At centre, a large banderole carries the numeral '5' and a cursive ligature within a guilloche frame, surmounted by the legend 'Gutschein über fünf Pfennig' in Gothic blackletter. Flanking the central vignette are two standing figures in period costume — a miner to the left and a female figure to the right — rendered in fine letterpress line engraving; below the central panel the issuing authority reads 'Der Stadtrat zu Freiberg i. Sa.' with the Oberbürgermeister's manuscript signature. |
