Obverse description Central field depicts the Osnabrück civic arms — a spoked wheel of six spokes with crosslet ends, enclosed within a plain circle and surrounded by an ornamental scrollwork border. A beaded inner ring separates the central device from the outer legend. The circular Latin legend reads STADT. OSNABRVGK., with the date appearing at the conclusion of the inscription. The overall design reflects the typical civic heraldic style of late 16th- to 17th-century North German municipal coinage.
