Obverse description The Mexican National Arms occupy the centre of the aluminium-bronze inner disc, featuring the Golden Eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus and devouring a serpent, rendered in high sculpted relief. The design is executed in a detailed three-dimensional style with fine feather and rock work. The encircling legend reads ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS along the upper periphery of the stainless steel outer ring.
