Aanvullende informatie

Honduras spent much of the 1860s and early 1870s cycling through monetary proposals, with the 1871 pattern series representing an attempt to establish a decimal coinage system before the country had a functioning national mint to strike it. These pieces were almost certainly produced abroad — most likely in the United States — as Honduras lacked domestic minting infrastructure at the time.

KM Pn10 is one of several copper-nickel patterns from this abortive 1871 series, none of which entered circulation.
