| Obverse description | Left-facing bust of a Native Araucanian (Mapuche) chief occupying the central field, adorned with an elaborate feathered headdress and a tied headband with flowing ribbon. The legend CHILE is inscribed vertically along the left field, with the fineness indicator 0.72 positioned to the right of the portrait.
