| 备注 |
By 1953, Colombia's Banco de la República had been issuing through Thomas De La Rue for decades, a relationship that produced some of the more technically consistent Latin American notes of the mid-century. The 5 Pesos Oro denomination at this date was deep in everyday circulation — a working note, not a prestige issue — and De La Rue's production quality meant the paper held up better than many comparable regional issues of the period.
The watermark is the sole listed security feature, which was typical for low-denomination Colombian issues of this run. Higher values in the same series carried additional protections.
