| Obverse description | Central vignette of a standing bull rendered in fine intaglio engraving, flanked by numeral '5' counters at left and right within ornate guilloche cartouches. A small vignette at lower left portrays a gaucho preparing or drinking mate in a pastoral setting. The issuer's title 'LA PROVINCIA DE BUENOS AYRES' is inscribed in bold letterpress across the upper-centre field, with the denomination 'CINCO PESOS' in a prominent banner below the central vignette.
