| Opmerkingen |
The División del Bravo was a Constitutionalist military division operating in the northeast during the Mexican Revolution's most chaotic phase — 1914 being the year Huerta's federal government collapsed entirely. Notes like this one were issued by field commands rather than any central banking authority, a practical necessity when unified currency infrastructure had ceased to function and troops needed to be paid and supplied.
Military script of this type was redeemable in theory against future Constitutionalist government obligations, though redemption in practice was uneven at best. The official stamps served as the primary authentication mechanism in the absence of engraved security printing.
