| Mô tả mặt sau | The reverse presents a naturalistic depiction of a golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) perched upon a tree trunk, rendered in fine detail within the central field. In the upper right quadrant, the inscription AGUILA REAL identifies the species, while the scientific name Aquila chrysaetos appears in the upper left quadrant. The denomination $5 is positioned to the left of the design along the vertical axis, with the date 2000 appearing to the right of the eagle. The legend ANIMALES EN PELIGRO DE EXTINCION EN MEXICO is inscribed in the lower right quadrant, and the Mexico Mint assay mark Mo appears at the bottom of the field. |

| Thông tin bổ sung |
The "Águila Real" (golden eagle) series issued by the Casa de Moneda de México was introduced as part of Mexico's broader push in the 1990s to produce bullion-grade silver coins competitive with the American Silver Eagle and Canadian Maple Leaf. The 5 Pesos denomination placed it nominally within the peso system but the face value was purely symbolic — no one was spending these at face.
KM#652 corresponds to the annual restrike program; the year 2000 edition saw modest collector interest tied to millennial purchasing, which briefly inflated premiums over spot before settling back to standard bullion levels within months.
