These provincial notes — technically "bonds" or "letras de cancelación de obligaciones" — circulated as de facto money, accepted by local businesses and government offices out of necessity rather than legal obligation. Casa de Moneda's Paraná facility handled production, keeping the physical manufacturing within the province. The PS# designation reflects its status as a subnational emergency issue, not a standard central bank note.
