备注
The Banco de México had relied on American Bank Note Company for much of its mid-century production, and this 1953–54 issue continues that relationship. Robert Savage's engraving credit is worth noting — he was a staff engraver at ABNC responsible for several Latin American commissions during this period, and his line work is characteristically fine for the denomination.
The P#57 series was relatively short-lived in circulation, superseded as Mexico steadily revised its lower denominations through the late 1950s. Cotton substrate from this era is prone to corner wear at the folds, and surviving high-grade examples are less common than the issue volume might suggest.
