His involvement here reflects the Argentine central bank's long reliance on European engravers for prestige intaglio work during the mid-twentieth century.
The print date of April 1945 predates the issuing period by several years, a common gap in Argentine emissions where plates were prepared well in advance of formal authorization and release through the Banco Central.
