Opmerkingen

Mouchon's involvement here is a borrowed credit — the French engraver died in 1914, and his name appearing in the plate margin reflects a pre-existing design acquired by Argentina rather than a commission. The Argentine government under Perón was consolidating the banking system at the time: the Banco Central had been nationalized in 1946, and this series was among the first issued under full state control after private banking interests were pushed out.

The watermark used across this series is a repeating "BCRA" pattern, consistent through the 1949–1951 print run.
