The central text area bears the promise to pay clause in the name of the Philippine National Bank, Iloilo Branch, issued by authority of the President of the Philippines, dated May 1, 1944. Three manuscript signatures of the Iloilo Currency Committee members appear along the lower portion, with their respective titles: Acting Provincial Auditor, Acting Manager P.N.B.
