备注

Municipal emergency currency issued across the Philippine Islands during the Japanese occupation proliferated in 1943, as local governments scrambled to maintain commerce after the Japanese Military Administration's own scrip failed to command public trust. Salcedo is a coastal municipality on the eastern shore of Samar, and its wartime issues are among the more obscure in the Philippine guerrilla and municipal currency record — the island saw heavy guerrilla activity throughout the occupation, which complicated both issuance and survival of local paper.

No Pick number has been assigned, which likely reflects how little documented material exists for this specific issuer. Attribution can be difficult; many Samar municipal notes lack the printing infrastructure to include serial controls that would help distinguish genuine wartime issues from later fabrications.
