Beschrijving voorzijde	The obverse is printed in green and black intaglio. The upper portion bears the bank title 'Banco Salvadoreño' in large serif letters across the top margin, with the promise text 'Pagará al portador en moneda efectiva' in the centre field over a fine guilloche underprint incorporating the numeral 5. To the right, a large allegorical vignette depicts a seated female figure — representing Commerce or Justice — with a scale, books, and associated attributes, rendered in detailed engraved style.
