| Reverse description | The reverse is printed entirely in green intaglio. The design is dominated by two large interlocking guilloche rosettes, each bearing a bold numeral '5' at the centre, set within an elaborate lathe-work geometric border that fills the entire field. At the top centre, a small cherub head vignette serves as a centrepiece between the two rosettes. The issuer's name is split across two cartouches at the lower centre reading 'EL BANCO' and 'SALVADOREÑO', with the printer's imprint 'American Bank Note Company, New York' along the bottom margin. |
