备注

Banco del Sur was one of several regional Colombian banks operating under the 1880 banking law that allowed private institutions to issue their own currency. Pasto, the capital of Nariño in the far south near the Ecuadorian border, was commercially isolated enough that locally issued notes circulated with reasonable confidence despite chronic instability elsewhere in the country.

By 1907, Colombia's private banking era was effectively over — the 1904–1905 monetary reforms under Reyes had begun dismantling the note-issuing privileges of provincial banks. This note was printed by the ABNCo but may never have seen meaningful circulation before the bank's issuing authority was curtailed.
