Description de l’avers	The obverse is arranged in a horizontal format with the bank title BANCO NACIONAL DE LA REPÚBLICA DE COLOMBIA in bold letterpress across the top. A central allegorical vignette presents a seated female figure with flowers alongside globes and trade goods, with a sailing ship in the background. To the left is an oval vignette of the Colombian coat of arms with a condor, and to the right a portrait vignette of a uniformed military figure, with the denomination CINCO PESOS in large text at centre, the issue date Marzo 4 de 1895, place BOGOTA, and serial number panels at lower left and right.

Description du revers	The reverse is printed in dark olive-green tones and consists entirely of intricate lathe-work guilloche patterns. A large ornate medallion occupies the left half, while bold stylised lettering reads BANCO NACIONAL DE LA REPÚBLICA DE COLOMBIA to the right, with the numeral 5 repeated in the corners. A small EL CAJERO inscription appears within the left panel, accompanied by a printed cashier signature line.
