A central text block carries a handwritten-style promise-to-pay clause in Spanish, above the denomination panel 'CINCO PESOS' printed in a decorative banner, with the notation 'MONEDA NACIONAL DE CURSO LEGAL' and place and date 'LA PLATA, JULIO DE 1891' below. The lower left bears the imprint '1a EMISION' within an ornamental cartouche, while a red serial number appears at lower right, and two manuscript signatures with printed designations 'TESORERO' and 'INSPECTOR' are positioned at bottom. |
