| Obverse description | The obverse is divided into two registers on the left side: an oval portrait vignette of a uniformed male figure at upper left, and a lower vignette of a seated figure playing guitar. The central field carries the bank title EL BANCO OTERO & Ca. in bold letterpress, with the denomination UN PESO in a decorative panel, and the text Pagará a la vista y al portador above the clause Plata sellada en moneda de ley, dated Córdoba, 2 de Enero de 1880. Numeral 1 counters appear at corners within guilloche borders, with vertical UNO panels flanking the right margin. |
