备注

The Junta de la Administración de la Casa de Moneda was the monetary authority operating Argentina's mint during a period when Buenos Aires and the Argentine Confederation functioned as effectively separate political entities under the shadow of Rosas. Notes issued through this body circulated in an economy where metallic currency was chronically scarce and paper money was viewed with deep suspicion — not unreasonably, given the inflationary history of the Banco de la Provincia's earlier emissions.

PS#389 is a rare survivor from a period when most circulating paper was quickly worn out, lost, or deliberately destroyed after successive currency reforms swept through Buenos Aires in the late 1840s and 1850s.
