Reverse description The full Chilean national coat of arms is displayed at centre, featuring a shield divided horizontally with a five-pointed star, supported on the left by a rearing huemul deer and on the right by a condor with spread wings and crown, both facing inward. A laurel-and-palm wreath frames the base of the shield, above a ribbon scroll bearing the national motto POR LA RAZON O LA FUERZA. The date 1968 appears to the left of the shield with the Santiago mint mark (So) below it. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE CHILE arcs around the upper periphery, while the denomination 5 / PESOS is inscribed in two lines below the arms, all within a beaded inner border.
