Opmerkingen

Tivissa is a small municipality in the Ribera d'Ebre comarca of Tarragona province, and like hundreds of Spanish towns during the Civil War, it issued its own emergency fractional currency when the Republic's central supply of small-denomination coin collapsed after 1936. These local emissions — collectively catalogued in Turró's essential reference — were typically produced in extremely small quantities, often on whatever printing resources the local council or cooperative could access.

Survival rates for Tivissa issues are low. The notes were redeemed or destroyed once central currency was restored, and few examples escaped either fate.
