Obverse description Green intaglio print on multicolor guilloche underprint, with black serial number. A forward-facing allegorical female bust is positioned to the left, surrounded by intricate geometric vignettes. The text block at centre and right carries the full issue inscription with the titles of the three authorising officials.

Reverse description Printed entirely in violet, the reverse is dominated by a large central guilloche rosette enclosing the numeral "5" in ornate script, framed by elaborate acanthus scroll work and flanked on each side by two pairs of finely engraved geometric lathe-work panels. The issuer's name is carried on a ribbon scroll arching across the upper portion, with the denomination legend set below the central vignette.
