Reverse description The Francoist coat of arms of Spain occupies the central field, featuring the quartered royal shield displaying the castles of Castile, lions of León, chains of Navarre, and the bars of Aragon, surmounted by a royal crown. The shield is flanked by the Pillars of Hercules, each bearing a banner inscribed PLUS ULTRA, representing Spain's imperial reach. A spread eagle with outstretched wings, symbol of Saint John the Evangelist, frames the shield from above. The denomination CINCO PESETAS appears to the left and right of the central device, while the legend UNA GRANDE LIBRE and the split date are incorporated into the design. The beaded border frames the entire composition.
