DE DIOS, distributed around the upper periphery within a toothed border. |

| Description du revers | The quartered Spanish royal coat of arms — displaying castles of Castile and lions of León in alternate quarters, with the central escutcheon bearing the fleur-de-lys of the Bourbon dynasty — surmounted by a large ornate royal crown. The shield is flanked on either side by the Pillars of Hercules, each wrapped with a ribbon inscribed PLUS and ULTRA respectively. The denomination 5 PESETAS appears in the exergue at the bottom, with mint assayer initials M·P· at lower left and M· at lower right. The surrounding legend REY CONST.L DE ESPANA runs along the upper periphery within a toothed border. |
