Reverse description Central composition featuring the quartered royal arms of Spain — displaying the castles of Castile, lions of León, the fleur-de-lis of the Bourbons, and the chains of Navarre — surmounted by a large ornate royal crown. Flanking the shield are the two Pillars of Hercules, each entwined with a ribbon bearing the motto PLUS ULTRA. The mint officials' initials E·M· appear at the lower left and M· at the lower right of the field. The denomination 5 PESETAS is inscribed in the exergue, and the circumferential legend REY CONSTL. DE ESPAÑA arcs across the upper field.
